Hey folks of the friendly kind! It's been a long time, huh? Too long in my opinion, but that's beyond the point. *last journal was from July of 2012. Wow*
Anyway, 2013 was a big year... I think. Maybe not as big as 2012, because 2012 came into the year hot, but let's give 2013 some love.
I don't remember buying any games in January, it was pretty cold month then, but it didn't matter. Christmas had just occurred, so many of us were probably still playing the better games of 2012.
February had Fire Emblem Awaking; however, I didn't get that until June.
In March we got two games, Luigi's Mansion Dark Moon and Pokemon Mystery Dungeon Gates to Infinity. Admittedly I haven't finished any of those I don't think April or May had any big titles, but feel free to comment if I missed anything so far
In June was the biggest hit, the hottest hit of the summer, outshadowing Nintendo's Nintendo Direct, Sony's and Microsoft's E3 because we couldn't take our eyes off of it. Animal Crossing New Leaf hit shelves. We left our lives and friends to enter a new world to create new lives and new friends. Some time after that, I think it was still in June, Project X Zone was released and promised to be the best mash-up game there is. Again, I haven't completed it though
The next biggest title after that wasn't until October. A world wide release of a game that we all know and love... Pokemon X/Y was released. And after that, at the end of October Ace Attorney fans were treated a huge treat with the release of Dual Destinies!
In November, we were treated to A Link Between Worlds, a game that actually held it's own if you gave the game a chance. And with that, the biggest titles of 2013 is over, if I were to rank them, It'd be like this:
1. Dual Destinies
2. Pokemon X/Y
3. A Link Between Worlds
4. New Leaf
5. Fire Emblem
6. Dark Moon
7. Project X Zone
8. Gates to Infinity
Again, if I missed any games, it was probably because I didn't buy them, so feel free to comment below with what you thought of 2013. But since the year is gone, let's look forward what 2014 has to offer thus far: Yoshi's Story, Professor Layton, Professor Layton vs Ace Attorney, Smash Bros. And that's what we know right now. Looks like another hot year for the 3ds.
Kappa,
Maxwell K.
